While the world watched patiently for the Queen to die, death snuck behind our backs and took away Betty White, an angel of a woman who deserved a better world for her final years.

She was way more than just an actress and a comedienne, she was a gay rights pioneer, and above that she was an animal rights activist that changed and saved the lives of countless creatures across the globe in need of love and care.
